Research and Consultancy Projects

The details of completed and ongoing projects/assignments are given below:

• Dr Rinku Sanjeev and Dr. Nidhi Natrajan completed a Minor Research Project titled "Developing a Model for Managing Disruption in Girls' Education Related to Inadequate Interventions in Sustainable MHM Practices at Noida & Ghaziabad" in 2023. Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI), Pune, funded this project. This project aims to understand adolescent girls' menstrual problems and their related absenteeism from school for the same reason. The study proposed a model to strengthen the existing intervention towards MHM that will provide vital support to create menstrual hygiene management in schools in the Delhi NCR region.
• Dr Vikrant Vikram Singh in collaboration with Dr Harendra Singh (Manipal University Jaipur), completed a research project titled “Feasibility Study of Rainfall Derivatives as an Alternative Tool to Hedge Rainfall Volatility in the Agriculture Sector” in 2022. The project was funded by the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) under DRG Study Series. The objective of the project was 1- To assess the monsoon rainfall volatility across the Gwalior-Chambal region, 2- To design a rainfall index for trading weather derivatives in Madhya Pradesh, and 3- To empirically evaluate the appeal of weather derivative products to farmers and willingness to invest in these products to hedge weather-related risks.
• Dr. Kriti Priya Gupta undertook a consultancy assignment with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) during Nov-Dec 2022. The assignment included statistical analysis and forecasting for a study on “India-UK Free Trade Agreement”.
• Dr. Kriti Priya Gupta and Dr. Shikha Singh completed a consultancy project titled “Change in Life of Transgender women due to Social Protection under ‘Wajood’ Programme”, during Nov-Dec 2020. The project was sponsored by Alliance India, New Delhi. The objective of the project was to assess how the social protection provided through “Wajood” programme of Alliance India, has resulted in the empowerment of transgender women in terms of economic empowerment, and improvement in overall quality of life.
• Dr. Rishi Manrai and Dr. Kriti Priya Gupta completed a research project titled “Factors Influencing Mobile Banking Adoption in context with upcoming Payments Banks in India” in 2018. The project was funded by SIU under ‘Minor Research Project Scheme’. The objective of the project was to identify and prioritize the factors which lead to acceptance and use of mobile banking in context of Payment banks in India. This study also found the impact of these factors on behavioral intentions of the end users to adopt Payments Banks.
• Dr. Kriti Priya Gupta, Dr. Preeti Bhaskar and Dr. Swati Singh completed a research project titled “Citizens’ Perceptions of E-governance Services Offered by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)” in 2016. The project was funded by SIU under ‘Minor Research Project Scheme’. The objective of the project was to develop a comprehensive model of factors that influence the adoption of e-governance services by the citizens residing in areas covered in NDMC.
